The future of the book in the context of digitalization
In modern conditions, the book market is forced to develop and cater for new trends. In the coming years, speed and flexibility will play an increasingly important role. This will affect the entire value chain, from publishers to bookstores and, of course, to the supply of paper. Therefore, the key to success for companies is building cooperation along the entire value chain.
The UNISOFT Book Factory has been choosing StoraEnso for a long time as a reliable paper supplier. The main types of paper used in our production are Creamy, Novel and Lux Cream.
Recall that StoraEnso is a world leader and expert in the production of paper and cardboard. The company has the largest portfolio of uncoated book paper on the market with wood pulp content and no wood at all, and in addition, a wide range of products that are suitable for the manufacture of covers and are designed for complex final finishes such as embossing, foil pressing and varnishing.
At the end of summer, we invited Partners and representatives of publishing houses to our company to discuss the future of the printed book in the context of digitalization. As part of the StoraEnso and the UNISOFT book factory partnership seminar, we also had the opportunity to introduce guests to the materials we work on. After the main discussion, test printing of papers produced by the StoraEnso concern such as Creamy, Novel, Lux Cream, Stella Press was conducted. Publishers were able to see and compare color reproduction depending on the type of paper. Representative of the head office of StoraEnso Paper Oy in Helsinki Anne Lagus and the Ukrainian representative office in Kiev, Yuriy Usenko, briefly introduced the main products that can be used in the printing industry.
Summing up the meeting, we can confidently say that printed books have a future.
